OBITUARY:
MANN- At the Salem hospital, age 27. Cause blood poisoning.
A father, two brothers and three sisters mourn her demise. The funeral will take place in this city on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Congregational church. Rev. W. C. Kantner officiating. The remains will be interred at Zena.
Miss Mann was a professional nurse, graduating at the Salem hospital school of nurses in June 1897. While attending a woman at Roseburg about two weeks since, Miss Mann contracted the disease of which she died. Her physician diagnosed the case, but its real character and fatal nature was not discovered until too late to give her relief, though the error was unavoidable. Deceased was a member of the Salem church and her death has cast a gloom on her family and a large circle of friends.
