OBITUARY: 

Mary Grace Wait, lifelong resident of the Salem area, died Sunday at her residence in Fruitland district where she had lived for two years. She was 73. Miss Wait was born near Popcorn school in Polk county on April 29, 1877. She spent most of her life in Salem and the Orchard Heights district. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including E.W. Southwick, Salem, Ralph and Herschel Wait, both of Rickreall. Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Virgil T. Golden chapel. Interment will be at Zena cemetery.
