OBITUARY: 

Zena, Feb 7 – Funeral services for Howard Delos Goodfellow, 70, who died Thursday will be held Monday at 1:30 pm from Rigdon’s funeral chapel in Salem with burial in the Zena cemetery. Born June 11, 1878 in Ogdensburg, Wis, he was the only son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Goodfellow and came with them to Big Blackfoot Valley, Mont, when 5 years old. He attended school at Ovando and later at the University of Montana at Missoula. He married Vesta Clements, who survives him and they came to Zena in 1905 which has since been his home and where she still resides. He spent five years, 1909 to 1914, in Fairbanks, Alaska, and was a member of the Tanana chapter of AF&AM. The Masonic lodge will be in charge of the funeral. Childless himself, Mr Goodfellow interested himself in boys without homes of their own and provide substantially for more than a dozen such boys.
