Robert F. Yungen
October 24, 1911 – May 4, 1988
Services for Robert F. Yungen, 76, of Salem, who died Wednesday in Salem, will begin at 1 p.m. Monday in Knight Memorial Congregational Church, Salem.
He was born in Portland and moved to Salem in 1919 from Amity. He married Violet in Dallas on February 16, 1947. They built the Brush College Store, Salem, which opened in 1947. They also had owned the Lincoln Store, northwest of Salem. He was active in the Lincoln Community Center Association and was the first president. He was a member of Knight Memorial.
He is survived by his wife, and brother, Carl of Salem.
Interment will be in Zena Cemetery, Salem.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund or the Muscular Dystrophy Association in care of Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary, Salem.
