OBITUARY: 

Funeral at Salem
The funeral of the late Joseph Woods, former Benton county farmer, was held from the Presbyterian church near the Ralph Shepard home in the Salem vicinity yesterday afternoon with interment in the cemetery there. Mr. Woods passed away last week at the home of his daughter Mrs. Gender [Ginder] in Camas, Washington and she with other sisters came from Washington to attend the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. William Knotts and family and C.W. Woods were present from Benton county, Mrs. Knotts and Mr. Woods being daughter and son of the deceased, and several old time friends who knew Mr. Woods when he was a farmer in north Benton county also attended the service. 
The deceased is survived by his widow and a number of sons and daughters. Mrs. Woods is now a patient at the Corvallis General Hospital, where she is ill from pneumoniaand this following paralytic strokes of recent years makes her condition quite critical.
