OBITUARY: 

Funeral for Miss Mella C. White, of 7114 SW Brier Place, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Caldwell's Colonial Mortuary. Miss White, 91, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
A retired school teacher, Miss White was born Nov. 28, 1878 in Rickreall. She was educated at Monmouth College and the University of Oregon and taught at Antelope, Hood River and PEndelton before coming to Portland, where she taught at Mt. Tabor, Arleta and Ockley Green grade school.s
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Mazama, the Oregon Geographical Society, the Audubon Society, the Y.M.C.A, the Oregon Retired Teachers Association, the A.A. U.W. and the Circle Garden Club.
Interment will be private at the Zena Cemetery, in West Salem.
