OBITUARY: 

WHITE - At her home in Rickreall, March 7, Miranda M. White, at the age of 82 years. The funeral services will be held at Zena, Thursday afternooon at 1 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. W. C. Kantner. Burial will take place at Zena. The services will be in charge of Webb & Clough.

Crowley: Quite a number from this neighborhood went to Zena on Thursday of last week to attend the funeral of Mrs J.C. White, who passed away at her home here early Tuesday morning. She was born in Ohio, March 16, 1840, moving from there to Missouri. She was married to John C. White in 1862 and crossed the plains with him in 1865 and has lived in Polk county since that time. She leaves two brothers in Kansas and one sister, Mrs Texella White of Crowley, besides numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev Kantner of Salem. The pallbearers were: O.V. Oliver, Peter Hansen, Will Pardo, R.J. Williamson, Warren Estabrook and Ray Fawk, all of this community. She was buried beside her husband, who passed away years ago.
