OBITUARY: 

Mrs. Francina White.
SALEM. Dec. 7.—Mrs. Francina White died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. E. Starbuck, in Polk County. Deceased was born in West Virginia in 1828, and while yet young removed with her parents to Missouri. In 1849 she was married to J. H. White, and in 1853 came to Oregon, settling on a farm in Polk County. Her husband died about 14 years ago. Six children survive her. They are: J. C. and M. F. White, of Crowley, Polk County; Mrs. F. E. Starbuck and W. J. White, Salem; W. W. White, Enterprise; Mrs. W. C. Kantner, Salem.

Mrs J.H. White died at the home of her daughter, Mrs F.E. Starbuck, near Eola, December 6, at the age of 72 years and she was laid to rest at Zena. The family crossed the plains from Missouri in 1865 and had been residents of the county for many years. The surviving children are John and Millard of Crowley, W.W. at Enterprise, Mrs W.C. Kantner of Salem, Mrs Starbuck and W.J. White of this county.
