Spring Valley – Memorial services for Clyde B. Wendell, 66, who died Thursday, will begin at 2 pm Tuesday at Riviera Baptist Church, Salem. He was born in Lapan, Texas, and had been a Salem area resident for more than 30 years. He was a machinist supervisor for A.C. Haas Co in Salem for many years, retiring in 1985. He married June Strait on Oct 9, 1943, in Albany. He was a member of Zena Church, and he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Penny Ratzlaff of Dallas; sons, Steven L. Wendell of Newberg, Cliff Baker of Portland and Rick Wendell of Amity; sisters, Frances Aaud of Central Point and Freida Stone of Newberg; and brothers, Charlie of Canby, Al of Portland and John of Oregon City. Arrangements are by Barrick mortuary.
