Alice M. Updegraff, 99, of Salem, died Wednesday. A native of Butte, Mont, she had lived in the Salem area since 1943. Surviving are her niece, Alice Neacy, Los Angeles; and nephews, George L. Hammond and Walter M. Hammond, both of Salem, John W. Miller, San Anselmo, Calif, and Richard R. Miller, Butte, Mont. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Friday in Zena Cemetery, under the direction of Barrick mortuary.
