OBITUARY: 

Almeda Elizabeth Quiring

October 31, 1910 – Feb. 22, 2001
Almeda Quiring, 90, of Salem died Thursday.
She was born in Mountain Lake, Minn., and graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
She moved to Salem in 1945 and was active in Spring Valley Church, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Christian Women’s Club and Stonecroft Ministries. She enjoyed singing and playing the organ. Her husband, Jack, died in 1981.
Survivors include her sons, John of Upland, Calif., James of Silver Lake, Wash.; sister Ella James of Mendota Heights, Minn.; and one grandchild.
Visiting will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. Services will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Kingwood Bible Church, where she was a member. Interment will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Zena Cemetery. Contributions: Union Gospel Mission or Child Evangelism Fellowship.
