Dorothy B. McAfee, Oct 31, 1918-Sept 3, 1999

Dorothy McAfee, 80, of Salem died Sept 3. She was born in Denver and grew up in Southern California. She moved to Oregon in 1989. She enjoyed dancing, music, collecting dolls, knitting and sewing and was a member of the Protestant faith. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd, whom she married in 1949; daughters, Carole McAfee and Gail Fahlman, both of Salem; sisters, Virginia Harris of Lake Elsinore, Calif, and Pauline Wood of Glendale, Calif; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 4 pm Saturday at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Zena. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Contributions; Very Special Arts of Oregon, PO Box 304, Salem OR 97308 or Polk County Foster Parents Association care of Services to Children & Families, 177 SW Oak, Dallas, OR 97338.
