OBITUARY: 

Memorial services will be 2 pm Thursday at First Congregational Church for Mrs Ruth Brace Knapp, 76, 4001 Camelia Drive S, who died Saturday night in a Salem hospital. Rev W. Carl Calhoun will officiate and interment will be private. Virgil T. Golden mortuary is in charge. She was born in Leroy, NY, and came to Salem in 1960. She graduated from Cornell University. She was active in Girl Scout programs in Florida and was a member of First Congregational Church, Sojourners Club and Delta Zeta alumni organization in salem.Surviving are the widower Ismond E. Knapp; daughter, Dr Elizabeth K. Smith, Seattle; son Dr Brace I. Knapp, Salem; sister Mrs Esther B. Preston, Mount Dora, Fla; brother Eldred C. Brace, Tucson, Arriz, and three grandchildren.
