OBITUARY: 

J. Wesley Hansell Jr, 61, of 1345 Manzanita NE, died Wednesday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Portland. He was born in Seattle, and worked as an agriculturist for the federal government. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a life-long resident of Salem. He was a member of the Keizer Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge of Coquille, the Salem Masonic Lodge (Chadwick Chapter) and Scottish Rite Free Masonry. He was a naval reserve officer and a graduate of Oregon State University. Survivors include his wife, Rose Ann, Salem; daughter, Lynn C. Dew, Woodlake, Calif; sister, Betty Lou Benton, Salem; and two grandchildren. Private services were held under the direction of Rigdon-Ransom mortuary.
