OBITUARY: 

Walker—At Arlington, Oregon Catherine, aged 74 years, wife of W. H. [sic] Walker, near Zena.
Deceased came to Oregon with her parents in 1848, locating on French Prairie, near Hubbard, where she lived until she married Mr. Walker where they removed to Spring Valley, Polk county, afterwards removing to Klickitat county, Washington.
In addition to a husband, deceased is survived by five children as follows:
Mrs. M. Fisk, Wallowa; Mrs. Chas. T. Kamm, Portland; Mrs. Irving Couse, New York; C. M. Walker, Arlington, Mrs. C. C. Walker of Zena, is a sister of the deceased, and the following are her brothers: J. L. and A. J. Purvine, of Zena, Nelson Purvine, of Arlington, and Smiley Purvine of Salem.
The remains of Mrs. Walker will arrive in Salem this evening and will be taken to Zena for burial. Funeral services will be held at the Zena church at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon conducted by Rev. W. C. Kantner, of this city. Burial will take place in the Zena cemetery.
