OBITUARY: 

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 1996, in the Portland First United Methodist Church in Portland for Grace Henderson DeHarpport, a musician and homemaker. She who died Aug. 8 at age 87.
Mrs. DeHarpport was born June 17, 1909, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her maiden name was Henderson. She spent and lived most of her life in Portland. She was a 1931 graduate of Willamette University and a member of the university board of trustees. and a member of the alumni board. She also was a board member of the Salem YWCA. She taught music in her home and in Portland Public Schools. She was a member of the church. In 1931 she married Francis; who he died in 1990.
Surviving are her daughter, Marie D. Lindsay, of Beaverton; and son, Dale C., DeHarpport both of Beaverton; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Disposition will be was by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the Willamette University rose garden memorial or Willamette View Foundation Inc. Arrangements are by Wilhelm Funeral Home.
