OBITUARY: 

John H. Deering, 83, late resident of 1563 Ruge St. NW, died Wednesday at a Salem nursing home. Deering came to the Salem area three years ago from Spokane, Wash.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Edith Deering, Salem; a daughter, Mrs. Emmet Rogers, Salem, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are pending at Clough-Barrick Funeral Home.
