OBITUARY: 

Alves Lenoir Damrell
LINCOLN CITY – Alves Lenoir (Harritt) Damrell, 94, of Lincoln City, died Tuesday in San Diego, Calif.
She was born in Yachats. She lived many years in Salem before moving to Lincoln City in the late 1950s. A noted Northwest artist, she owned and operated the Taft Art Gallery from 1967 to 1982. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Amaranth and Oceanlake Christian Church.
Survivors include son Delbert Harritt, San Diego, Calif.; brothers E. F. Norwood, Seal Rock, and J. W. Norwood, Brownsville; and sister Minnie Becket, Medford.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Omsberg Pacific mortuary. Private interment follows at Zena Cemetery.
