Cochran; maiden name of mother Elizabeth Clark; bur Zena cem; informant R. Mae Cochran, wife.

OBITUARY: 

Vivian Armel Cochran, 82, of 828 Browning Ave SE, died Saturday at a Salem hospital after a brief illness. He was a resident of Salem for many years, but was born at Amith. Cochran farmed in the Polk County area, and worked in lumbering. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Still active until his recent illness, he brought back a deer from his last hunting expedition last year. Surviving are the widow, Mrs R. Mae Cochran, Salem; sons C.V. Cochran, Nevada, and M.F. Cochran, Portland; daughters Mrs Daisy Chance, Mrs Eloine Osburn and Mrs Joy Hudson, all Salem; brothers Albert and Ray Cochran, John Knox and Floyd Gibson, all in Washington; sisters Mrs Jessie Blakley, Umatilla, and Mrs Ethel Chase, Grangeville, Idaho; also five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at Barrick Funeral Home.
