OBITUARY: 

Private family services were conducted today in Virgil T. Golden mortuary for Salem resident Muriel Burkhart, 90. She died Sunday in a Dallas nursing home. She had lived in Missouri before coming to Salem in 1972. Survivors include her son, James C., Salem; sister, Blanche Dorrel, Hamilton, Mo; and one grandson and two great-grandsons.
