OBITUARY: 

Henry Stuart Boyd
Feb. 2, 1911 – June 3, 1990
Henry Stuart Boyd, 79, died Sunday in Salem.
He was born in Arthup, Va. He lived in San Diego for 49 years before moving to Salem three months ago. During World War II he was a technician with Convar General Dynamics where he finished out airplanes that were used during the war. He worked there for more than 36 years, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed gardening, and won several awards as a master gardener with roses and dahlias. He married Margaret McCorkle on June 19, 1941, in Ohio.
Survivors include his wife; son, Harold S., M. D., of Salem; sisters, Ruby Faulkner and EndaMae Banfield, both of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, John and Glen, both of Springfield, Ohio, Edwin of Rapid City, S. D., and Charles of Van Nuys, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mark Lutheran Church. Private family interment will be in Zena Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Salem Hospital Foundation. Arrangements are by Barrick mortuary.
