OBITUARY: 

Minnie Maude Sanders, 89, of Salem died March 20 in a Salem nursing home. 
She was born Jan. 26, 1884 in Nebraska, the daughter of William and Martha Perry Shaw. On July 10, 1902, she married William Josiah Sanders in Oregon City. He preceded his wife in death in January of 1932 [sic; he d 31 Dec 1932]. Mrs. Sanders came to Oregon in 1900, moving to Dallas in 1915 where she resided until 1956, when she moved to Salem to make her home. She was a former restaurant cook and cannery worker. Mrs. Sanders was a member of the United Methodist church and the Ladies Aide. 
Survivors include four daughters, Elva Stocker of Milwaukie, Vera Holt of Eugene, Minnie Griffin of Albany and Marjorie Shultz of Salem; two sons, Dana Sanders of Palo Alto, Calif, and Dr. Donald Sanders of Salem; 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were at 2 pm, March 25 in the Bollman Funeral home with the Rev Revelle Roach officiating. Interment was in the Brown cemetery.
