OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Mae Lewis Foster Dies Suddenly at Eugene.
Mrs. Mae Lewis Foster, wife of George Foster and a former resident of Polk county, expired suddenly at Eugene October 9. She was married to Mr. Foster on July 2 of this year and she and her husband had all preparations made for departing upon a trip to California on the morning of her death, which occurred without warning and just a few minutes before they had planned to start, heart trouble being assigned as the cause. 
Mrs. Foster was born July 14, 1881, and was a daughter of Sanford R. and Sarah A. Williams, both deceased. She was married September 26, 1897, to Alex R. Lewis. 
Mrs. Foster is survived by her husband; one daughter, Lillian Blanche Barchard, Los Angeles, Cal, and a son, Albert E. Lewis, Klamath Falls. 
Mrs. Henry N. Dickinson of Independence is a sister and John A. Williams of Independence and Wiley B. Williams of Wenatchee, Wash., are brothers. 
Burial services were held at the Lewisville cemetery last Friday afternoon, Dr. H. Charles Dunsmore of Independence officiating. Independence Enterprise (Friday) 18 Oct 1929, 1:2
