OBITUARY:
James Atwater, a farmer of the Airlie neighborhood, died at the hospital this morning as a result of injuries received in a runaway at Airlie on Saturday. Atwater tumbled to the road from the rapidly moving wagon which he was driving and lit on his head and shoulder. The force of the fall dislocated the man’s shoulder and, according to Dr L.A. Bollman the attending physician, the brain seemed to be affected. Dr Bollman set the dislocated shoulder on Saturday and other conditions had become so serious on Monday that the patient was removed to the Dallas hospital, where he passed away this morning. Atwater was about 67 years old, and was well and favorably known in his home community. Funeral arrangements had not been made this morning.
