BIOGRAPHICAL:
FIVE GENERATIONS OF PIONEER FAMILY MEET IN REUNION
A happy renunion of five generations of one pioneer family of Oregon was that recently held in Vancouver, Wash., when Mrs. Talitha Bowman Riggs gathered with her daughter and grandchildren of three generations. Talitha Bowman was born in Kentucky in 1837, and with her parents, moved to Missouri when she was about 2 years old. They crossed the plains by ox team, enduring numerous hardships. On reaching The Dalles they came by flatboat to what is now Portland. The remainder of the Winter was passed in Oregon City. For a time they lived on the Tualatin plains and then moved to Polk County,m where Mrs. [Miss] Bowman was married to Jame O'Neil in 1853 [1855?]. The children born to them were: Emma Deming, now of Elmira, Or.; Nancy Deming, of Seattle; Sarah O'Neil, of Portland; Artanisha Mathews, of Nahcotta, Wash. After the death of James O'Neil, Mrs. O'Neil married G. B. Riggs and one son, Morris J. Riggs, was born. Mr. and Mrs. Riggs and their son, now live at Orchards, Wash. Emma O'Neil, who was at the reunion, was born January 28, 1854, and she married F. F. Deming in 1871. Bernice Deming was born December 3, 1873, and was married to C. W. Inman in 1891. In 1892, Pearl Inman was born, and he married Myrtle Sheffler in 1914. Baby Verre Inman, the fifth of the give generations at the reunion, was born July 30, 1915.

Washington State Death Records ID #275748 - Talittea [Talitha] C. Riggs, died 4 Feb 1918 in Edmonds, Washington at the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of William Bowman and Sarah Kindred.
OBITUARY: 
PIONEER OF 1844 WHO DIED FEBRUARY 4
Mrs. G. B. Riggs, of Orchards, Washington, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. A. Deming, of Edmonds, Washington February 4.  She was born in the state of Kentucky, on March 20, 1837, and came across the plains with her parents when she was 7 years old, settling in Oregon City in 1844.  Later her parents took up a donation claim on the Little Luckiamute River.  In 1853 she was married to James Anderson O'Neil, who later died.  In 1876 she was married to Green Berry Riggs of Polk County, Oregon.  Mrs. Riggs lived to see her fifth generation.  The children who survive her are:  Mrs. M. E. Deming, of Elmira, Oregon; Mrs. N. A. Deming, of Edmonds, Washington; Mrs. S. C. O'Neil, of Portland; Mrs. A. E. Mathews, of Nahcotta, Washington; and Morris J. Riggs of Orchards, Washington.
