1900 OR CENSUS - John Cochran (b Feb 1863, Indiana) enumerated with wife of 13 years Estelle (b Sept 1866, Indiana, mother of 6 children, 4 living [sic; 5 are listed in census]) and 5 children, Percy (b Oct 1889, Indiana), Ana (dau, b Nov 1892, Oregon), Harold (b Mar 1894, Oregon), Lucinda (b Mar 1896, Oregon) and Mary E. (b May 1900, Oregon)

OBITUARY: 
R.L. Hastings informs us that Homer, the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Cochran of Airlie, died with the croup on the 10th inst, aged four years and seven months. His remains were laid to rest in the English cemetery, and the funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Balentine. 
Mr. Cochran was up in Washington, and was telegraphed for but arrived an hour too late for the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Cochran have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.

[The body of Homer Cochran, which has been buried in the cemetery at Airlie for eighteen years, was disinterred a short time ago by C.W. Henkle of this city and shipped to Oakland, Ore, yesterday, where it will be buried.
