OBITUARY: 
John Wienert, well known resident of Airlie, passed away at Long Beach, Calif, Saturday, March 2. His death came suddenly while he was visiting relatives. 
Mr. Wienert was born in Holstein, Germany, February 7, 1862, and was 73 years old. When only 7 years of age he came to this country with his parents, Jeron and Margerita Wienert. The family settled in Iowa, and it was in that state and in the city of Holstein that he was married to Kate Schumann, 51 years ago. Mrs. Wienert passed away in 1914. 
Mr. Wienert had resided at Airliue since 1908. He is survived by four daughters and six sons. They are: Mrs. W.D. Butler, San Luis Obispo, Calif; Mrs. E.D. Brown, Airlie; Mrs. Harry Worthylake, Booth, Ore; Mr.s Lyle Hadley, Seattle; Hugo N. Wienert, Hoquiam, Wash; John F. Wienert, Airlie; Julius R. Wienert, Leneve, Ore; William H. Wienert, Summit; Alfred G. and Ralph M. Wienert, Long Beach, Calif. There are several grandchildren. The remains arrived at Albany Wednesday morning and were taken to the Keeney Funeral Home in Corvallis. Funeral services were held in the Evangelical church at Airlie, Thursday, March 7, at 1:30 PM, with Rev E.A. Fogg, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was in the family plot in the English cemetery at Airlie.
