Ritner, maiden name of mother Sarah Wooden, interment: 12 May 1929 Edwards Cemetery, undertaker C.W. Henkle, informant Fred Ritner of 1805 Center St., Salem.
OBITUARY: 
John Ritner, aged 74 years, died Friday, May 10, at the family home near Pedee. Mr. Ritner died on the same farm where he was born, June 3, 1855, and where he had spent his entire life. Funeral services were held at the Henkle chapel Sunday morning, with burial in the Edward cemetery at Pedee. 
Mr. Ritner was married November 1, 1877, to Sarah E. Morrison, who died about seven months previously, passing away in October, 1928. He was widely known among the older residents of the county and had many friends. 
Mr. Ritner is survived by three children, Frank Ritner of Tacoma, Wash; Mrs. Rittie Kerber of Pedee and Fred C. Ritner of Salem. There are eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson, Don Kerber.
