OBITUARY: 
Former longtime Juneau resident Dwayne L. Brown died May 19, 2007, at Northwest Hospital in Seattle. He was 76.
He was born Nov. 30, 1930, in Fountain County, Ind., to Charles and Irene Brown.
He was the second oldest of seven children. He served in the U.S. Air force as an instructor and left with an honorable discharge in 1955. He graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and moved to Alaska with his wife, DeLores, in 1972. He ran and operated Fran's Drive In, where the Travelodge Hotel is now. They later moved to where Donna's Restaurant is now and ran it as the In and Out Restaurant. They then purchased an accounting firm from Joseph Werner in 1972. The firm was later changed to Brown & Associates and is still in business today, being run by his wife and daughter, Robyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Bill Brown, Charles Edward, Donald Dale, Robert Daniel and Fredrick Dean.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Robyn Gee and her fiancé, Mike, of Juneau, Vangie Kirkevold and her husband, Clay, of Seattle, Coleen Lossett and her husband, Ed, of Oregon, Deborah Green and her husband, Norman, of Rochester, Wash., and Judith Landmon and her husband, Mike, of Oregon; sons, Darren Gee, of Juneau, Dennis Hal, of Seattle, Michael Brown and his wife, Brenda, of Alabama, Timothy Brown and his wife, Anita, of Oregon, and Dennis Wayne, of Juneau; brother, Carroll Brown and his wife, Elsie, of Illinois; sister-in-law, Barbara Brown, of California; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, friends and colleagues.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday Chapel by the Lake in Juneau. Burial will take place later in Oregon at the family plot.
Any donations can be made to the Reifenstein Dialysis Center in Juneau.
